Mars Design announced that it will be launching Meastock.com, a rich resource for citizen journalist-gathered photographs and videos from the Middle East region.
The website’s launch comes as a revolutionary wave of protests rock the Arab world. Within the last year and a half, popular uprisings, notably in Egypt and Tunisia, toppled long-term governments, showing the strength of ordinary citizens against authoritarian regimes.
At such a time of unprecedented change, Meastock.com is poised to capture the voices of those who live in the region and showcase their stories to the world.
The Egypt-based website gathers video and photographs from citizen journalists in the Middle East and promotes the material to buyers all around the world. The video portal makes the content available for news agencies, with the journalists earning a commission of all sales their media generate.
Mars Design developed a website that showcases Meastock’s large, user-friendly video library. The website allows users to sell videos and track earnings. Mars Design also created the company’s Facebook landing page, allowing it to interact with users on the social networking site.
The project also entailed designing a modern logo for the company that reflects its line of business.
